We just had our hardwood floors done by Woodhaven and we are really happy with the results. We had some significant repairs done and it all blended in beautifully with the rest of the floor. The workers are very friendly and polite. We had another quote which was less but we chose to have years of experience and paid a little more — it was the right decision.
Called on Thursday, talked to Ray; Sam came out that day and gave me a very reasonable quote in writing. They started Monday, and I was called each morning about when they'd be back. By Thursday the third coat was on and everything was cleaned up. House built in 1957 — the difference is night and day. Pictures speak for themselves!
After being turned down by three flooring companies — they couldn't refinish our floors because the engineered wood was too thin — Woodhaven came to our rescue, and what they were able to do was amazing. Gone are the scratches, stains, and wear and tear. The wood grain is now radiant and the floor shines.
We recently purchased a 1950s home with beat-up white oak flooring. Ray quoted us a competitive price to refinish with extra coatings, plus redo the previous owner's sloppy heater-hole repair. Three days, four rounds of sanding, and four coats of polyurethane later, we have a gleaming hardwood floor — and you'd never tell there was once a floor heater in the living room.
Ray, the owner, came to give us an estimate the very next day, and his price couldn't be beat. Whenever I had questions he returned my calls in a timely manner. Andres and Tomás are hard-working guys and did a great job removing carpet and sanding. His guys were on time and did very hard work. Pictures are worth a thousand words!

He started out many years ago when exposing the beautiful wood floors in older homes became popular, and he does a lot of the work for local school districts. What a lot of people don't know is that you can only sand the thin 1½-inch floors in 1930s Spanish houses once — Ray will tell you that up front. He even gave me a few strips of salvaged flooring for a small patch job, no charge.

Ray gave me an estimate after two companies said our floors were too thin to refinish. He was honest and transparent, and worked with us to keep as many original boards as possible rather than replace everything. We wanted to keep the OG floors while making them functional, and Ray and his staff did a great job of exactly that.

They were a little more pricey than another quote I got, but they had better quality wood, more knowledgeable guys, and they were quick! They were more booked than the competitor as well — which to me is important. It shows people want their service.
I've used them twice now — once to fill in an area after removing my floor furnace, matching the existing wood, and again to install wood floor in an entire room. Both times the work was done quickly, at a VERY reasonable price, and looked absolutely perfect.
